Tired of dealing with late payments from brands as an influencer or blogger? Here’s how to ensure you get paid on time by brands using this sponsored posts legal template.

Many brands are notorious for making influencers do run arounds for payments.

Don’t even get me started on the ridiculous net 60 and 90 timelines.

This can be very frustrating especially because most brands usually have strict windows for content delivery.

If you’re in a similar boat, I have the perfect solution that will help you solve this problem.

A legal contract template.

Yes, you read that right.

On many of my blogs (I have 5), I work with different brands on different types of content.

Before I was introduced to this sponsored posts contract template, I would spend months chasing after invoices.

And then I introduced it into my system and everything changed.

The Sponsored posts contract template is a legal template customised by Amira Law, a certified lawyer and blogger at aselfguru.com.

The 11 page sponsored posts legal contract template comes with 28 important legal sections including:

Services to be provided.

Ownership of intellectual property.

Confidentially provisions.

Clear payment terms.

Legal compliance and FTC disclosures.

Termination clause.

You’ll also get up to $500 in bonuses for free namely:

Sponsored posts disclaimer.

Mediation agreement template.

Late payment fee legal clause.

How to use the sponsored posts legal contract template

After you buy the template, you’ll be able to customise it to your liking with your personal details.

These details include but are not limited to your name, address and the brands details.

Take a closer look at the template here.

After the brand sends you their contract, you’ll in turn send them yours so that they can sign it.

Don’t forget to add a late fee amount under the late fee payment clause.

After the brand signs your contract, you’ll deliver your content and be rest assured that your payment will be submitted on time.

Should the brand fail to keep their end of the deal, this lawyer written sponsored posts legal template will ensure you’ll get paid more per the late fee payment clause or have grounds to sue because you used an actual legal contract and not a random free one from the internet that the brand signed.

This might be a drawback to some brands at first but that’s a brand you shouldn’t be working with to begin with!

If a brand wants their content delivered within strict windows, they should hold themselves to the same standard when it comes to paying creatives (you)!

Lawyer consult fees can easily run into the thousands and lawsuits hundreds of thousands of dollars.

It is really important to make sure you’re legally protected online and there’s no better and more affordable way of doing this than with customizable legal contract templates.

Over 30,000 bloggers, creators and business owners have bought these legal templates.

Watch their reviews here.

Grab the sponsored posts legal contract template and say goodbye to chasing after invoices.

Want to learn how to unlink a personal Pinterest account from a business Pinterest account?

Well, here’s a step by step guide on how to unlink two Pinterest accounts.

More often than not, most people usually start with a personal Pinterest account which they later on transition into a Pinterest business account.

I would not recommend switching your personal Pinterest account into a business account unless you’re a creator/influencer.

Chances are your personal Pinterest account is full of just that. Personal random content that you’ve pinned/saved.

This content will most likely not mesh well with the content you’ll create for your business.

Before we jump into unlinking the personal Pinterest account that you originally had from your business Pinterest account or the one you accidentally created, let’s look at the differences between the two.

What is the difference between a personal and a business Pinterest account?

A business Pinterest account comes with way more features than a personal Pinterest account.

Personal Pinterest account

Business Pinterest account

1) First and last name only.

1) Your business name.

2) No access to analytics.

2) Access to analytics.

3) No access to an ad account.

3) Access to an ad account.

4) No verified merchant profile.

4) Verified merchant profile.

5) No Pinterest tag.

5) Access to a Pinterest tag.

You get the drill. Basically, if you run a business, you need a Pinterest business account.

You’ll love Best Pinterest Marketing Strategies for Growth & Traffic in 2024.

To create a business Pinterest account, go here and follow the prompts.

4) Click unlink account

Clink the unlink account button.

If you have an active email account added to your Pinterest profile, you’ll get a pop up message that tells you Pinterest has sent you an email with a link where you can finish the unlinking process.

By active email account/address, I mean an email address that you still have access to.

If you don’t you’ll need to change that first.

Please note that the link will only be active for 24 hours.

5) Check your email address

Go to your inbox and look for an email from Pinterest.

The email should contain a link that will help you continue with the process of unlinking your accounts.

5) Click the unlink account button in the email

After clicking the unlink accounts button, put in a new email address, choose a new password and click unlink.

If you followed all the steps correctly. The process should be successful. You should now have a separate personal Pinterest account and a business Pinterest account.

Pro tip– If like me you have a regular gmail email address and a professional dot com email address and you want to use the former on your business account, start by switching the email address on the personal one to your regular gmail address.

You’ll then use the dot com email address for your business Pinterest account.

Refer to step 5.

Finding and monetizing a high income skill is arguably one of the easiest ways to make 6 figures in your 20s and beyond.

With more and more people moving away from wanting to pursue traditional career paths and clocking into their 9 to 5’s, there’s never been a better time to find & monetize a high income skill.

So exactly how do you go about finding and monetizing a high income skill in 2025?

In this article, I’ll show you how to make 6 figures in your 20s by finding and monetizing a high income skill.

We’ll cover how to find a high income skill, where to find high paying clients, pricing and so much more.

Let’s jump right into it.

10 Step process to finding and monetising a high income skill

1) Find/identity a skill

The first thing you’ll want to do is to find a skill. This can either be something you’re already really good at or something you’ll put time and effort into learning/becoming good at.

I am not a passion over profit type of person.

I feel like there’s no statement that’s more untrue than find/do something you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.

Now while you’ll obviously need to enjoy what you do, I would personally prioritize profitability over passion.

However, I do think it’s possible to have the best of both worlds.

Let me give you an example. Let’s say you’re passionate about music and you make music. You understand everything that goes into making a song but your music is currently not profitable.

So you decide to monetize this and sell it as a skill. You decide start writing entertainment news for music websites or even better you start your own. You can do both.

I’ve seen a trend on Tiktok where people who have written popular songs take you through the process and even play the original version. You can do something similar. A behind the scenes into the making of your favorite songs.

You can feature producers etc. There’s so much you can do in line with this but this is an example of something that merges the best of both worlds.

Customize this to fit what you’d like to do. Use Google to see whether this is an existing type of service and how people are pricing their services.

There are so many different type of skills you can sell online and get paid good money in return. I’ll write a separate blog post about it.

2) Find a niche within the skill

I have mixed feelings about niches and niching down but you can make so much money by specializing. There’s a reason why they say the riches are in the niches.

Niching down will allow you to find your target audience with ease and charge a premium price for your services.

Here’s an example. Let’s say you’re really good at social media. And you’re conversant with different platforms.

Instead of selling your services as a social media marketer, choose one platform and structure your services and offerings around it. I.e Tiktok.

Sell yourself as someone who’s highly skilled at Tiktok.

Maybe you have the viral video recipe down, maybe you’re really good at converting audiences if your clients are keen on conversions, maybe you’re really good at turning existing content for your clients into tiktok videos etc.

This is what I mean by niching down.

3) Invest in your chosen skill

I know people hate ebooks and courses and often feel like you can find the same information online for free.

I am very pro both. To get to certain levels of income you’ll need to spend money to make money.

Courses and ebooks offer a more structured learning experience as opposed to crowd sourcing information. Don’t worry I’m not selling you anything in this blog post but invest in your chosen skill.

Doesn’t matter whether you’re already really good at what you do or you’re just starting out, there’s always something to learn.

Invest in becoming really good at your chosen skill.

4) Brand yourself

This is the part where you work on selling yourself and your skills.

This can get tricky especially if you already have a social persona or you want to be incognito when you’re starting out. I struggled with this when I was starting out. I’m still trying to figure it out but I know I don’t want to merge my brands.

Get a website/blog.

You want to look professional to your clients.

A premium price needs a premium look but don’t worry this doesn’t have to be expensive.

You can start a blog/set up a website on a site like namecheap with as little as $10 for both the hosting and your domain name using instructional videos from YouTube.

Figure out what name you want to go by and create a free logo on something like Canva.

Again do Google searches to see what other people in your industry are doing, how they’re pricing their services, their deliverables and borrow one or two things for this in terms of structuring your offers.

5) Get social proof

A key thing that will stand between you making very little money or a ridiculous amount of money is social proof.

People love and trust reviews. Bonus points if you attach names and websites/social media platforms people can reference when you’re writing your reviews section.

How do you get social proof when you’re first starting out? Good question. You use yourself as the guinea pig.

I am very anti doing free work. Free work doesn’t pay bills. I would not recommend doing that. How do you use yourself as the guinea pig? I’ll use myself as an example.

When I was getting started with Pinterest, I created an account as a social experiment.

Shortly after that the account took off and the growth blows my mind to date.

So whenever someone would say okay, so you claim you’re really good at Pinterest, show me proof, where are the numbers? I’d show them that account.

If it’s applicable to you. Do something similar.

Have all the necessary data ready to present to prospective clients and add it to your website/service page too.

6) Price your services accordingly

This is a tricky part/topic.

I don’t think market rates should be applicable to service based businesses.

I feel like we’re all different & we’ve all invested varying amounts into our skills so why do you need my prices to look like the next person’s prices?

You don’t want to price yourself too low because trust me there’ll always be someone who’s willing to go lower than you and probably already is.

The goal is not to be the cheap/cheapest option.

You also don’t want to price yourself too high when you’re starting out.

Not because you’ll lock out certain people- this is where target audience/ideal client mapping comes in, but because your deliverables might not match that price.

Make sure your premium price comes with a premium service.

7) Find clients

Where do you find clients? High paying & international clients (for my non US folks)? This is the million dollar question.

You can find international/high paying clients everywhere.

Facebook groups, Instagram, Tiktok, LinkedIn, online forums, Twitter, cold pitching (this is my least favorite one), referrals from industry friends or former clients. So many places.

I know people hate Facebook but you can make so much money just from being in the right Facebook groups.

Especially niche specific ones.

Always join groups in your niche, there’s no shortage of such groups on Facebook.

Use online forums wisely by joining in on discussions in your field of interest. The key is not being too salesy.

Look for people talking about a problem, provide a solution and then sell yourself to them.

8) Scaling

How scalable is what you’re currently doing?

I’m not sure whether scaling fits here in the traditional sense but what I mean is can whatever skill you’ve invested in/you want to start selling online be turned into other income streams?

Let’s use our tiktok person for example.

They’ll start off with offering tiktok services. Over time they can create and ebook in line with this or a course.

They can also do consult calls/strategy sessions with brands & businesses.

In the long run, they can also start a blog where they share Tiktok marketing tips.

This can be monetised using Ads and affiliate marketing.

Make sure whatever you’re doing can bring in money from more than one thing.

9) Ceiling amounts

This wouldn’t be a video/blog post by me if I didn’t touch on this.

I have a video on being intentional about your goals/manifesting your dream life on my Youtube channel where I talk about how much of a key ingredient working on your relationship with money is when it comes to scaling to certain income levels.

It’s important to not go in with a ceiling amount.

Ceiling amounts and this is my personal definition
-I checked and the internet says something different- is an amount which you think is too high/too good to be associated with you.

If you’re coming from an environment where you weren’t earning much it can be hard to think of certain amounts as achievable but they are.

No amount is too big or too good to be attached to your name.

Try starting with these amounts in your currency first and then scale to setting the same amounts in your target currency if it makes it easier for you this way.

Make 100,000 in your currency first then jump to thinking about $100,000. Make 1,000,000 then jump to $1,000,000.

I’m not saying this is how big of a jump you should be making but set these as goals regardless.

You’ll be surprised how easy it is to hit certain goals once you stop thinking of them as unachievable.

10) Getting paid

If you know anything about PayPal then you know they can wake up one day, freeze everything and hold your money for 6 months and sometimes more if they wish.

I can’t think of anything that’s more frustrating than this. They closed my account and it wasn’t because I did anything wrong but because one of their customer service people Ill advised me.

I had to do a lot of back and forth with them to get my money even after the 6 months mark.

I get it, PayPal is popular.

But, working hard to make your money then having to fight with PayPal to get the money is just not it.

There are a lot of businesses and affiliate platforms who use PayPal as a payout method which makes it difficult to completely separate yourself from the platform.

If you can, please do.

I currently use Wise to receive 80% of my payments. I love Wise.

It’s so easy to use and they don’t just randomly wake up and decide to close your account and illegally hold all your money like PayPal.

The set up is really simple.

You’ll just connect your card and make sure it has $20 on it. This amount will then reflect in your account after the sign up process so worry not.

They’ll then ask for your details, verify everything and you’ll be up and running in no time.

My favorite thing about wise is that they give you US bank account details among many other countries so you can receive your money without having to part with huge sums in fees.

Their conversion fees are also pretty low compared to other platforms so it’s a win win really.

Get fee free transfers of up to 500 GBP on Wise here.

There are obviously so many other payment processors out there but I don’t have experience with any of them so I can’t speak on them.

11) The legal side of things

Protecting yourself legally is of extreme importance.

Consulting a lawyer and getting customised legal templates can get very expensive.

I often see influencers complaining about getting late payments from brands even after the ridiculous net 30 and 60 windows.

A good workaround for this is investing in a sponsored posts legal template written by an actual lawyer.

The good thing about this sponsored posts legal template is it comes with a clause that lets brands know they need to pay you on time or pay an extra fee for everyday they delay payments.

After a brand sends you their contract, you send them yours too.

If you’re not an influencer and you’re getting into the freelance world, there’s a freelance legal bundle that makes sure you’re legally protected too.

Taking a leaf out of TikTok’s book, Pinterest has today launched Idea pins. A video-first feature which is essentially a rebranded version of their story pins.

Think TikTok, but with Pinterest’s somewhat unique spin to their story pins version.

In this article, I’ll be telling you all about them and teaching you how to use idea pins.

As mentioned earlier, Idea pins are a video-first rebranded/story pins feature that is aimed at video content creators on Pinterest.

Just as was the case with Pinterest story pins, users can publish up to 20 pages of video content.

Idea pins come with additional features & tools that weren’t available in story pins such as the ability to add a voice over and a music library.

Much like TikTok, idea pins downloaded from Pinterest now have a Pinterest watermark that also shows the creators username.

Many elements and unique features of what made up story pins have been replicated on idea pins.

Idea pins on Pinterest:

1) Are searchable/discoverable.

2) Show up on peoples feeds, following streams and on your profile.

3) Can be saved to boards.

4) Feature topic tags which boost discoverability and let you target specific audiences.

5) Don’t expire after 24 hours.

What can I use idea pins for?

When Pinterest first rolled out story pins, they made it known that story pins would be different than they were on other platforms.

Traditionally, stories are used to show snapshots of people’s day to day lives. On Pinterest, story pins, now idea pins are meant to show step by step tutorials or tips & tricks for different things.

You can use idea pins to show step by step tutorials of how to cook a certain dish, or give travel and styling tips.

How to make idea pins on Pinterest

1) Start with an idea of what you want to create.

2) Tap the + sign on Pinterest and choose idea pin.

3) Upload your content.

PS. remember to toggle the create a new page for each one button if you want to have different pages.

4) Edit your idea pin(s).

Edit your clips and make use of features such as ghost mode to showcase easy before and after transitions.

5) Tap audio to record a voice over if you’d like to add one.

6) Tap music to add your desired sound.

7) Add a sticker or mention someone to credit them for video/content usage.

8) Tag any products you’ve shown in your idea pin to allow people to shop them directly from Pinterest. This is a great way of boosting your affiliate income if you’re a creator or sales if you’re a business owner or brand.

Start by adding your affiliate link and click on search.

After Pinterest recognises the link (not all links work as of now), add the link as seen on the retailer’s site.

Choose the image you want people to see when they click on the product tag. Click create and you’re good to go.

9) Final touches.

Here you can add a title (if you hadn’t already added one as a text on the pin).

You can also assign your idea pin to your desired board, add a list and pick upto 10 topic tags.

I have been A/B testing using different keyword variations in the title on both my accounts and client accounts and I’ve definitely seen an improvement in the numbers.

This is an optional step but make sure that your title is keyword optimized.

10) Hit publish.

Once you’re contented with how everything looks, hit publish.

Performing regular Pinterest account audits is the only way you’ll ever find out what’s working and what isn’t.

In my How to Master Pinterest Marketing in 2026 post, I listed it as an easy traffic and conversions strategy that few are using.

If you’ve been wanting to audit your Pinterest account, I’ll take you step by step through everything you need to do in this post.

Step 1- Audit your profile

Log in to your Pinterest account and start with your profile. Is your profile Search Engine Optimized?

From your brand name to your account description, it’s important to ensure that you’re reaching the right audience and clearly explaining what you do to them.

For example, if you’re a travel agency, your brand name should include this. Your description should also clearly outline what you do and include important keywords.

Step 2- Audit your boards

Step 2 is where you take note of how many boards you have.

There are two types of people on Pinterest:

i) The ones who have a few boards and prefer to organise everything else into categories.

ii) The ones who have a board for quite literally everything.

While I definitely agree that organising things into categories makes for a much more neater look, I would not recommend doing this.

Unlike categories, boards are searchable on Pinterest.

Fun fact, on Pinterest, for every search term, three things have the probability of ranking:

i) A board that has the keyword.

ii) An account that has the keyword.

iii) The keyword itself.

Back to our board audit.

Take note of how many boards you have and check whether they’re still relevant to your account.

DO NOT DELETE ANY BOARDS. Instead, archive the boards that are no longer relevant to your account.

The same should be done for personal boards.

This is also the part where you should re-analyze how important your group boards are.

Group boards are no longer as powerful as they use to be. Unless the group boards you’re in are well moderated, and actually drive traffic to your site, you’ll be better off leaving them.

Step 3- Audit your board descriptions

I don’t think enough people realise how important board descriptions are.

Another fun fact. For most keywords, 1 to 6 in every first Google search page results are usually results from Pinterest.

This means that properly optimised boards can have you ranking on the first page of Google for free.

List down all your boards on a sheet.

Go to the search bar and type in the keywords that are relevant to your boards.

On a separate column, write down the keywords that are shown in the little coloured boxes for as many keyword variations as you’d like.

PS- You can still find the suggested keywords that appear in little coloured boxes on mobile if they’re unavailable on a pc. If this feature is no longer visible to you, don’t panic. Try to think of your content from a user’s perspective and word things the way they’d search for them.

Or, utilize Pinterest trends. Pinterest trends is only available to people in the US, UK and Canada among a couple of other countries but you can use a VPN to get access if you’re not located in these areas.

Repeat the same process for all your boards.

At the end of this step, you should have:

i) Keywords you can use in your board descriptions.

ii) Keywords you can use as hashtags after writing your board descriptions.

NB- Do not keyword stuff. Try to work the keywords in naturally into your descriptions.

Step 4- Go to your analytics

Analytics on Pinterest are your secret power tool that again, many underutilize.

Go to your analytics and start by applying some filters under reports.

Filter out metrics from paid and earned ( if you run ads) and metrics from pins that don’t lead back to your domain.

Proceed to the performance over time section and pick whatever metrics you’d like to see data for.

This section lets you know how your account has been performing over the months. It shows you days when your Pinterest traffic peaked and days when your Pinterest traffic dropped.

Your next stop should be the top boards section. This section shows your your top boards in a given duration of time.

As is with the performance overtime section, you can also apply filters here to see data for whichever metrics you’re most interested in.

The last section, and what is by far my favourite section is the top pins section.

This and the top boards section are what you should pay attention to.

You know the drill, apply filters to see your desired metrics.

Step 5- Gather your data

Put together the data that you gathered in step 4 and note it down in a separate column on the same sheet.

Have separate columns for your top boards and your top pins. Remember to account for the number of impressions, saves and most importantly outbound clicks.

Alternatively, you can also refer back to your analytics if you prefer that instead.

Easy hack- after you go to your analytics, you can click export after applying as many filters as you’d like. This will save you time and the headache of creating new columns if you find performing tasks in excel or whatever you decide to use tasking.

Step 6- Go back to your top boards and pins

In your top boards ensure that you prioritize publishing fresh content as often as you can. This will keep the growth momentum going.

In your top pins, go through each of them individually and ensure that everything is properly optimized and the links don’t lead back to 404 errors.

This part might sound hectic but you’ll be surprised at the number of top pins you have that either don’t have an outbound link inserted or lead to a 404 error page.

At the end of this process, you should have enough data that will help you increase your traffic and conversions as well as create a customized Pinterest Strategy.

I have done this for hundreds of accounts and it’s a proven Pinterest Growth strategy for traffic, conversions and sales.

3) After inputting your address, Pinterest will give you a META tag that you should add to the head section of your site.

4) Highlight the meta tag and copy it using cmd + c on a Mac or ctrl + c on Windows. Ensure that you’ve copied everything including the < >.

The Digital Age has brought with it the good and the bad. While some might argue that the bad outweighs the good, many Companies, Businesses and everyday people alike have benefited greatly from it.

With features and perks such as the ability to reach millions of people with the click of a button at the top of the list, having a social media presence for your business is no longer just a matter of choice.

Every year, different social media platforms that promise you great ROI’s (returns on investment) pop up. From Instagram, Tiktok, Twitter and Snapchat, it can be hard to keep up.

Now while many of them have the same structure and general offerings, Pinterest is one of the few platforms that not enough Businesses are utilizing. So, exactly what is so special about Pinterest?

How does Pinterest work?

Unlike many other social media platforms, Pinterest works like a Search Engine. A visual Search Engine. What this means is that:

The number of followers you have don’t matter. Yes, you read that right. A pin on Pinterest can still show up on people’s feeds even at 0 followers. All you need to do is properly search engine optimize your pin.
With many platforms being centered around the number of followers one has, this makes Pinterest a platform that favors both new/small and established/big brands.

A properly optimized pin can rank on both Google and Pinterest. For many keywords, 2 in 8 of search results on the first page of Google are results from Pinterest. With proper SEO (search engine optimization) practices in place, your products can rank in 2 places for FREE.

Users on Pinterest are looking for inspiration and solutions to their problems. 89% of US pinners go on Pinterest to make purchase decisions and up to 47% of pinners log on to the site specifically to shop. This makes Pinterest more effective at generating sales by up to 4 times than other platforms.

A pin linked back to your website can bring you sales throughout the years. A post on Pinterest has a longer lifespan than many other social media platforms, where a user would have to go to your profile to interact with your content again.

While there are some niches that tend to receive more love on Pinterest such as Crafts & DIY, Pinterest being home to well over 400 million monthly active users, means that the exact kind of audience your business or product is looking to help already exists on the platform. With more than 200 billion pins already on the platform, it is possible for virtually any brand to have success on Pinterest.

In 2020, Pinterest recorded a growth of 100 million users. Meaning your brand will get exposure on both a local and international scale to an audience of 459 million monthly ACTIVE users in 2024 and beyond.

Still not convinced? Let’s get into some stats and figures that show you the power of Pinterest.

Why your Business needs to be on Pinterest

71% of global users on Pinterest are female. These women make up to 80% of the buying decisions in most US households. Key among these buying decisions fall under places to travel to, homes they’d love to buy and general items needed in their homes.

Millennials make up 52% of Pinterest’s monthly users. Many millennials are known to browse different products on social media before making a purchase.

97% of searches on Pinterest are unbranded. This shows that many users on Pinterest tend to keep an open mind and are on the lookout for brands that they’ve never heard of before.

Users on Pinterest are reported to have found ads on the platform 1.4 times more useful and relevant. 1 in every 2 people on Pinterest have made a purchase through promoted pins.

Many brands are enjoying the benefit of having pinners create user-generated content for them. This is proven by up to 95% of images on Pinterest being pinned or re-pinned from the web

Pinterest statistics show that a user spends 14.2 minutes on average per session on the platform. This gives you enough time to capture your ideal audience’s attention using visually engaging content.

Pinners are open to your marketing. Up to two-thirds of the content saved on Pinterest comes from Businesses.

Perhaps the one thing that sets Pinterest apart from the many other platforms that would make a great home for your brand or business, is its link back to every post system. You get to avoid the ‘link in bio’ and its alternate forms and lead people back to the exact product or service you are offering.

To succeed at marketing your Business, Brand or Blog on Pinterest in 2026, you’ll need a solid Pinterest Strategy.

It’s no secret that Pinterest have made a lot of changes to their platform and algorithm over the last couple of years.

The case will probably be the same in the coming years.

I won’t lie to you. There’s no big bold secret or hack you’ll need. The only workaround to any form of marketing on any platform is keeping up with the times.

However, there are a couple of Pinterest must do’s you can’t ignore.

Join our Pinterest Marketing Simplified Facebook Group for real time discussions and updates on everything Pinterest marketing.

Pinterest marketing strategies for 2026

1) Use the RIGHT keywords

Pinterest works like a Search Engine unlike other social media platforms and just like with every search engine, keywords are king. It’s really that simple.

Using the right keywords in your pins, pin graphics, titles, descriptions, boards and board descriptions will be key. This will help your target audience find you with great ease.

And no, adding 50 keywords in your pin descriptions isn’t the way to go.

Use a mix of the search bar, the what’s trending on Pinterest section and Pinterest trends to find high converting keywords.

After you find different variations of the keywords you want, add them naturally to the type of content you need more eyes on.

Remember to perform regular Pinterest searches to make sure the keywords you’ve collected are still relevant/still rank high.

Year specific keywords for example change annually. ‘Fall nails 2025’ will not help you get found when a Pinterest user searches for ‘fall nails 2026’.

And no, I am not saying old pins will not get ranked when the year changes. This is actually one of the standout features about Pinterest. Something you posted as early as 2018 can get you traffic in 2026.

Year relevant pins with up to date keywords will signal to the Pinterest algorithm that this is fresh content that it should prioritize.

2) Get used to A/B testing

I should’ve probably started with this one.

A/B test, A/B test, A/B test a lot. I can’t emphasize this enough on this blog.

You’ll never truly find out what type of content people love the most/performs the best if you don’t A/B test.

Before I get too carried away, A/B testing is simply testing 2 version of the same thing.

Let me give you an example.

Let’s say you run a natural hair blog where you teach people how to grow their hair. And on your Pinterest account you only use pin graphics to drive traffic to your blog.

If I as a user prefer saving/clicking on images of people who have long hair, your pin graphics will probably never catch my attention.

This is exactly why you should A/B test.

A/B test and make adjustments where you need to.

3) Invest in a comprehensive Pinterest Marketing course

Yes, this again.

There’s a lot of conflicting and false information on Pinterest marketing out there.

If you have never bought a Pinterest marketing course, there are high chances that you’ll keep getting conflicting information.

Conflicting information equals wonky results because you’ll be trying out whatever the next person recommends.

Like I’ve mentioned before on this blog, I like to think of Pinterest marketing as a 3 step process.

Step 1 is where you start off with free resources- a blog post here, a YouTube video there and the like.

Step 2 is where you invest in a comprehensive Pinterest Marketing ebook and you learn the A to Z of Pinterest Marketing.

The last step and what I’ll get into shortly is customizing your Pinterest strategy.

I grew my first blog to reach 100,000 plus people in 5 months and joined Mediavine right after that.

While I do get traffic from SEO, joining Mediavine and scaling from $50 to $300 a day & more in earnings wouldn’t have been possible if Pinterest wasn’t part of my traffic plan.

I teach you my best methods and more in Pin your Way to Conversions .

4) Customize your Pinterest strategy

As someone who manages a lot of Pinterest accounts in different niches, I’ve seen first hand how the same strategy won’t work even on accounts in the same niche.

I swear by this strategy and continue to get good results consistently.

Think about it, if you get great results from standard pins and person y tells you how they get incredible results from video content – and try as you might, video pins refuse to convert for you- will you now ditch what works for you and jump on the video pins bandwagon?

You probably won’t. That’s the thing. Video content works for them because they know their audience and they go by their analytics.

Take a deep dive into your Pinterest analytics and look into what’s working and what’s not working.

Utilize strategy 2 after referring to 3 and create a customized Pinterest strategy for your account.

Keep at it for 3 to 5 months at most then come back to this blog post and let me know how it went.

5) Pin more content

If you’re only pinning 2 to 5 pins every other day, it is highly unlikely that you’ll ever get to enjoy outbound clicks numbers that are in the upper hundreds of thousands.

The number of pins you’re posting daily should be informed by how many blog posts you already have up if you’re a blogger.

If you have 100+ blog posts up, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be pinning 30 to 40 pins a day.

Good volume made up of the right content, the right keywords/overall search engine optimization and a great strategy will get you easy 100,000 plus outbound clicks months.

6) Don’t spam

There’s been a lot of chatter about throwing up a couple of hundreds of pins a day using automation tools and calling it a day.

While you might get some traction using this method, you’ll likely end up loosing your account in the long run.

You cannot bypass the work it takes to get good results from Pinterest.

Feel free to outsource your pinning to a dedicated professional who understands the platform and will get you great results the right way if you’re not up to the task.

7) Post more fresh pins

For the longest time, monthly views on Pinterest were made up of impressions on your own pins plus the impressions on the pins you had re-pinned/saved.

Re-pinning other people’s pins was therefore recommended as a growth strategy in a bid to boost this metric.

In 2021, Pinterest made it known that their algorithm was favoring fresh content over re-pins.

This was further solidified by them making updates to their metrics in 2022 through 2023.

Monthly views on Pinterest are currently made up of the impressions on your pins plus pins saved from your claimed account or domain over a 30 day period.

Simply put, you’ll need to publish more fresh content to get more eyes on your pins, which will in turn help with driving your monthly views figure up.

Re-pins will no longer work in your favor but in favor of the person whose pins you’re saving.

Unlike in the past where many people insisted that monthly views are a vanity metric (which was true especially if your strategy was heavily reliant on repins), the case is no longer the same.

All of Pinterest’s metrics updates mean you’ll need to work with all the numbers to get an increase in your desired conversions.

This brings me to my next point.

8) Work with the Pinterest metrics/your analytics

Going by its current definition, increased monthly views will mean that you’re:

Publishing content that people love.

Pining high quality content.

Publishing Search Engine Optimized content that people are finding with ease.

However, you can’t afford to only focus on this figure because your impressions, saves and pin clicks are what you’ll need to convert to outbound clicks.

As you’re creating new content, think of a pinner’s journey and use it to your advantage.

As someone is scrolling on their feed, they’ll see your pin (impressions), they’ll click on the pin to bring it into view and learn more about it (pin click), they’ll then save it on their boards to refer back to it later (saves) and if your pin was properly Search Engine optimized, they’ll click visit website to get more information about your pin (outbound clicks).

This is the ideal Pinterest user journey for conversions focused business accounts but not what always happens.

Working closely with your metrics and analytics will give you insight into what you need to make improvements on.

For example your analytics indicating that people save and click colorful graphics more compared to the neutral ones will help you know what direction to move in.

9) Perform regular Pinterest account audits

Not enough people do this.

I love Pinterest’s current metrics update because it will make this process a lot more easier than it was in the past.

This ties in with point 4 and 8 after you get past point 3.

Use your analytics to perform regular Pinterest account audits and do more of what’s boosting your desired conversions and less of what is making the conversion process hard.

If you have no idea how to go about this, this post takes you step by step through a typical Pinterest account audit.

Do not skip this step. You can’t complain about reduced traffic and conversions on Pinterest if you don’t even know what the current state of your analytics is.

10) Take advantage of seasonal content

Seasonal content means just that. Content that’s relevant in a particular season.

For example, back to school content, Easter, Mother’s Day, Fathers’s day, Halloween etc.

This is some of the easiest traffic you will ever get from Pinterest.

The only catch is that you have to post season relevant content way before the actual season.

No I am not saying you will not get any traffic should you post it during the actual season. You will, you can and I have.

Posting your content before the relevant season gives Pinterest enough time to index your content. It is a search engine after all.

For example, Halloween content can be posted as early as July into August and throughout September.

The best thing about Pinterest and by far my favourite thing is how posts like these will continuously bring you traffic throughout the years without you needing to do anything.

Season relevant content is there in almost every niche. Do your research and make this type of content work for you for an easy traffic boost.

11) Post visually stimulating content

Video content platforms like Tiktok becoming increasingly popular is proof that our attention spans are getting shorter.

Your content -be it a graphic or lifestyle photo- needs to be visually stimulating. It needs to grab your audience’s interest and attention enough to make them want to click.

Colorful graphics have personally helped my clients and I with increasing our CTR (click through rate).

If you don’t enjoy creating Pinterest graphics, I have 40 high Converting customisable Pinterest templates created with you in mind. These templates are FREE under the bonus section of Pin Your Way To Conversions.

12) Create specific boards

The Pinterest algorithm ranks/recognizes search engine optimised boards. Not categories.

While categories might seem like a smart way of keeping everything under one house, I WOULD NOT recommend doing this.

For example if I’m writing about hairstyles, a smart thing to do would be having boards for each short hairstyle. I.e Finger waves, fades etc.

Grouping everything under one board makes it difficult for your target audience to find you.

Boards are searchable on Pinterest remember? So you want to get as specific as possible.

This is also a good way to reach both a wider and new audience.

13) Use the search bar

The search bar on Pinterest is a gold mine.

The best part is that it caters to everyone not just bloggers.

If you’re a business owner, the search bar can:

Help you come up with a ton of keywords catered to your business and niche.

Inform inventory decisions.

Find the keywords you need to include on your business account’s profile.

Figure out how many boards you need.

Find the right type of keywords to use in your board descriptions.

Similarly, keywords found through Pinterest searches can help bloggers figure out which type of content:

They should write about.

Is performing well rank wise.

Ranks at the top in terms of graphics.

Includes keywords the Pinterest algorithm likes.

Has keyword rich descriptions.

14) Utilize Pinterest trends

Pinterest trends is a collection of search terms and keywords that received a lot traffic over a 12 month period on Pinterest.

This is yet another great way of identifying keywords you should use to help your content rank higher on Pinterest.

Pinterest trends is available to people in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Italy, Spain, Germany and so many more. If you don’t live in any of the regions that can access Pinterest trends, you can get access by either using a vpn or changing your location in your settings.

Under analytics, click on trends.

Type your desired keyword into the search bar and filter the results according to your desired audience.

If you want relevant trending keywords in the UK or Canada, pick this under the country column.

You should see something similar to this after putting in a keyword. Pro tip, if a search term has fewer results, generalise it. For example if Pinterest Marketing has few results, use marketing and build from there.

Don’t forget to also use the keywords featured under the search term you’ve gotten results for (related trends).

Go a step further and check out the popular pins for that keyword.

Using this and the Pinterest search bar will give you enough keywords and content ideas for the whole year. You can use a sheet to keep record of all of the keywords you found.

I do a full step by step deep dive into how to use Pinterest trends to find high converting keywords in Pin You Way To Conversions.

15) Read the Pinterest predicts report

Every year, Pinterest usually rolls out trend predictions in different niches of what people will be searching on the platform.

This is a what’s to happen report and not a what has happened report like they term it.

Read the Pinterest predicts report, find relevant topics and subjects in your niche and create content around it.

The earlier you do it, the better.

For example, if you’re in the beauty niche. Now is a good time to start posting content that revolves around blue beauty stuff.

Find more Pinterest trend predictions here.

Other than what you already know or knew, that’s all there is to it. Pinterest is a simple platform. Even after all the algorithm changes. Don’t complicate it.

So you’ve just launched your online boutique and you’re wondering how and where to market it.

Or maybe your online boutique is thriving but you’d like to increase your sales.

Well, I’m here to give you the breakdown on why Pinterest is the perfect platform for your online boutique and how to start marketing your boutique on Pinterest.

Before we go any further, let’s start with you as a user. You probably already have a Pinterest account that you occasionally save images to.

These could be images of anything. An outfit you liked, style inspiration, how to videos, mood boards, you name it.

Prior to saving the images, you might have noticed a very visible visit button or click here icon that made you aware that you can click on a pin.

Long after saving the pin to one of your boards you may also have noticed getting notifications about other people saving the same pins.

This is how Pinterest works and why sales from Pinterest will be one of the easiest sales you’ll ever make if you start marketing your boutique on Pinterest.

Unlike other platforms, Pinterest works like a Search Engine, a visual Search Engine. With over 400,000,000 monthly active users and a link back to every post system, Pinterest is designed to give you conversions even with zero ad spend.

Forget the hassle of needing a swipe up link. Or the tedious process of making your customers manually look up an item on your website.

On Pinterest, you get to send users directly to whichever item you’re selling.

Shorter sales funnels aka customer journey equals higher conversions. Higher conversions mean more money for you so let’s jump right in.

Pinterest Marketing for Boutiques

The first thing you’ll need is a Pinterest Business account .

Pinterest business accounts come with access to things such as analytics an ad account and more.

Head on over to the official Pinterest website to create a business account.

After creating your business account, you’ll need to search engine optimize your profile, description and boards.

Pinterest Search Engine Optimization

On Pinterest, for every search term, 3 things have the probability of ranking. An account that has the keyword, a board that has the keyword and the keyword itself.

Keeping this is mind will help you boost the visibility of your boutique’s items in search.

a) Your profile

Let’s say your boutique is called Shop Unorthodox and you sell vintage sweatshirts & T-shirts. A properly Search Engine optimized Pinterest profile should look like this:

Shop Unorthodox | Vintage Sweatshirts & T-shirts

b) Your description

Your description should let people know what you’re selling. I.e

Shop unorthodox carries a range of authentic vintage sweatshirts & tshirts. New arrivals every Sunday. Check out website for more.

Or

We sell authentic vintage sweatshirts & T-shirts. Shop new arrivals every Sunday at 7pm CST.

c) Your boards

Boards are where your pins are housed on Pinterest.

Back to our example. If your boutique sells vintage sweatshirts and T-shirts, you’ll want to have boards that reflect this.

While it may feel natural to give your boards quirky names, this won’t boost your visibility in search.

If you sell vintage sweatshirts, name your board appropriately.

d) Your board description

Pro tip: For many search terms, every 1 in 6 Google first page results are usually results from Pinterest. If you play your cards right, your boutique’s items will rank in two places for free. So pay attention to this part and how you name your boards.

Your board description is where you do exactly that. Tell people what your board is about using keywords.

If you sell Vintage T-shirts, tell people what type of T-shirts they are.

Are they band tees, 70’s tshirts or graphic tshirts? Let them know.

Now that you’re done with the first part it’s time to get to the second part.

The second part involves 2 things;

I) Taking note of your inventory.

ii) Creating a pinning strategy.

I) Taking note of your inventory

This is the part where you work out how much inventory you have.

Doing this will inform your decision on how many boards you’ll need. It will also largely determine how much of your own content your pinning strategy will include.

ii) Creating a pinning strategy

The official Pinterest website reports that over 53% of people make fashion related purchases on Pinterest.

A good Pinterest strategy will easily fast track your growth and conversion process on Pinterest.

From how to find high converting keywords to using the right titles it can all get overwhelming really fast.

This is exactly why I created the Ultimate Guide to Pinterest Marketing for Boutique Owners.

In the Ultimate Guide to Pinterest Marketing for Boutique Owners you’ll learn;

Why is Pinterest the right platform for my Boutique?

I’m glad you asked.

On Pinterest:

1) The number of followers you have don’t matter. Yes, unlike most platforms, followers don’t hold any weight on Pinterest. A pin from your new business account can still go viral/appear on people’s feeds as long as it’s properly optimized regardless of whether you have 20 or 0 followers.

2) As mentioned earlier, Pinterest lets you add a link to every pin. If you sell sets, pants, tops etc you get to add a link to every single item. No more link in bio or search for item x if you don’t have the swipe up link on Instagram yet.

3) A properly optimized pin will rank on Pinterest and Google for FREE. Every 1 in 6 Google first page search results are results from Pinterest. In fact, I’ve used this hack to rank on the first page of Google for my blog posts.

4) A pin on Pinterest has a longer lifespan than other platforms. A pin posted today can bring you traffic years from now.

5) On Pinterest, users do the marketing for you. The more people save a pin to their boards, the more people see it. High saves and views equals higher link clicks and eventually sales if you optimized everything the right way.

If you’re experiencing huge traffic drops on Pinterest, this article will cover 10 reasons why your Pinterest traffic has dropped and a 10 step process on how to fix it in 2025.

10 Reasons Why Your Pinterest Traffic Dropped

1) The algorithm changed

Every platform has a specific way of distributing content. In the past, the Pinterest algorithm was structured in a way where the content a user interacted with the most is what was shown to them.

In 2020, Pinterest restructured their algorithm to feature diversified content types on a users timeline. These content types featured idea pins (formerly story pins) and video pins.

Now while video pins weren’t new to Pinterest, Pinterest were keen on keeping people on the platform for longer. This is why you might have noticed seeing more video and idea pins on your timeline at the time.

Idea pins have since been phased out but video content is still big on Pinterest.

For some niches like Fashion & Home Decor, Pinterest is now prioritizing product pins over user generated content.

Given these and other changes, it’s natural to experience a drop in traffic especially if your content fails to reflect these changes.

2) Re-pins are affecting your traffic

Re-pins on Pinterest are pins saved from third parties.

A couple of years ago, re-pinning other people’s high performing content in order to increase your monthly views was a common strategy.

In 2024, this strategy will do more harm than good for your account.

In order to see an increase in your desired metrics (ideally outbound clicks), you simply have to pin more of your own content.

3) Your pins have been stolen

Yes, you read that right. Stolen pins are a big problem on Pinterest. Pinterest have amped up their efforts to stop this from happening but it still does.

What typically happens is some people will target pins that rank at the top for a specific keyword and copy them. They’ll then post them on their boards complete with the same keywords and detailing you used and outrank you.

Whenever this happens, you’ll start experiencing major traffic drops for pins that would bring you thousands of clicks.

4) Your seasonal pins are losing traction

Seasonal pins on Pinterest are pins that do well during a particular season. These could be summer related pins, fall/autumn, Halloween, Christmas and back to school content.

Depending on whichever season you have pins for, your pins can and will do extremely well. You’ll get thousand of impressions, pin clicks, saves and even outbound clicks. The Pinterest algorithm will also work overtime to distribute and show these pins to more people who are searching for this type of content.

As seasons start changing, your pins will start loosing traction and you’ll in turn experience traffic drops.

5) Pinterest’s spam filter

As I mentioned earlier, spam is a big issue on Pinterest. In a bid to combat this, Pinterest have introduced a spam filter.

What typically happens is if your pins are marked as spam, people will be unable to click on your pins or your pins will be hidden from search.

Because of this, if you had pins that were ranking at the top for certain keywords, they’ll disappear from the list.

This has happened to a lot of people and is probably one of the worst things that could happen to you on Pinterest.

6) Pinterest is glitching

This happens more times than I can count. Sometimes you’ll pin something and it will get thousands of views, saves and clicks only to wake up the next morning to crickets.

The same is the case for monthly views.

7) Your need a better Pinterest strategy

How flexible is your Pinterest strategy? Changing times and algorithms call for a flexible strategy.

If you’re still clinging onto the same Pinterest strategy you were using when you first created your account, your numbers will suffer.

Pinterest has changed a lot since it was first introduced. Things and content types that once worked on the platform don’t work today.

8) You’re not A/B testing

A/B testing is testing two versions of the same content to see which one performs better.

Your A/B test could feature different pin titles, descriptions or call to action(s).

You’ll never find out which content performs better if you’re not A/B testing.

9) Your Search Engine Optimization sucks

Proper search engine optimization is key on Pinterest.

You won’t get your desired conversions if the seo on your pins, descriptions, titles, or boards suck.

The only way to find your top performers is to A/B test. Let’s tie this back in to reason 9.

10) You’re not pinning enough content

Pinning enough goes hand in hand with not re-pinning too much of other people’s content.

Pinning 2 to 5 times a day will not drive as much traffic as you’d like to get from Pinterest. Especially if your pinning is also not consistent.

10 Ways To fix Pinterest Traffic Drops

1) Restructure your content to reflect algorithm changes

If you weren’t using video content before, you might want to start using them.

A lot of people have mixed feelings about video content but I’ve had great success with them on different accounts. I started using video content way before Pinterest restructured their algorithm to boost them.

Video content auto plays as the user scrolls on Pinterest and allows a user to engage better with your content.

Video content will 9 times out of 10 always give you traffic boosts on your account.

There unfortunately isn’t much you can do if Pinterest is ranking product pins above user generated content in your niche other than wait it out.

When Pinterest first launched the show similar products feature under pins, there was an uproar from bloggers. In a new algorithm update, they added the option of turning this feature off.

The same might be the case in future algorithm updates. Pinterest is always testing new features and the same could be the case for the product pins scenario.

They have however over the last couple of years been working overtime to turn the platform into a shopping destination. While this isn’t great for bloggers, it’s a great opportunity for businesses.

2) Limit your re-pins

Simply put, re-pins drive traffic to content that isn’t yours. If you have a Pinterest Business account, your main focus is probably driving traffic to your content or products. The more of your own pins you post, the higher your traffic will be.

3) Check for stolen pins

How often do you check whether your pins have been stolen? You can find this out by searching for your content/content you rank for.

If you find out that your pins have been stolen, report the pins or get in touch with Pinterest support.

4) Diversify your content

Don’t be too heavily reliant on seasonal content/pins. If your entire account is structured to accommodate seasonal content, your traffic will be seasonal.

If your website is monetized using ads, your income will suffer greatly.

Diversifying your content involves pinning evergreen content.

Evergreen content is content that’s guaranteed to do well all year round regardless of season changes.

This also goes hand in hand with not starting a Pinterest account that’s too niched down but that’s a topic for another day.

5) Avoid spamming on Pinterest

Your content can be marked as spam for one of two reasons:

I) You went against Pinterest’s best practices.

ii) You were accidentally marked as spam.

In both of these cases, you can plead your case with Pinterest via their support desk.

6) Don’t panic incase of a glitch

There often isn’t much to do when a Pinterest glitch is happening other than to let them fix it.

Keep posting your content like you normally would and let them sort everything out.

7) Invest in a better Pinterest strategy

Speaking as someone who’s managed a lot of Pinterest accounts and run accounts in different niches of my own, no two Pinterest accounts will work with the same strategy. Sometimes even accounts in the same niche won’t work with the same strategy.

I like to think of a successful Pinterest Growth & Marketing strategy as a 3 step process:

Starting out with free Pinterest growth & Marketing tips on Youtube & blogs.

Investing in a comprehensive Pinterest marketing course.

Using all the tips you learned from the Pinterest marketing course and your analytics to create a customized Pinterest Strategy.

That is how you win the Pinterest Marketing game.

Speaking of comprehensive Pinterest Marketing courses, if you’re struggling with figuring out the A to Z of Pinterest Marketing, grab Pin your Way to Conversions .

If your Pinterest traffic is also not converting to link clicks, check out some reasons why your Pinterest traffic is not converting here.

8) A/B test a lot

A/B test different titles, descriptions, call to action(s), pin designs and even content types.

Older audiences tend to prefer pin graphics to lifestyle images while younger audiences prefer lifestyle images.

Test, test and test some more.

9) Get better at search engine optimization

Great search engine optimization on Pinterest will put you ahead of the rest.

If you’re getting a lot of impressions but few outbound clicks, your search engine optimization could use some work.

A good/well optimized Title and Pin Description go hand in hand.

People need to know why they should click the link to go to your desired destination.

Does your content promise to fix a problem, introduce them to something new, teach them how to do something or offer more of what they’re seeing?

10) Pin enough content

If you’re a blogger, the number of posts you have up should inform how much content you’re pinning DAILY.

Why would you only pin 3 to 5 pins every other day when you have over 100 blog posts then complain about barely getting any traffic from Pinterest?

While there’s no set in stone number for how many times you should pin every day, getting good traffic from Pinterest is undoubtedly a volume game.

If you have over 100 posts, a great number to work with would be 20 to 30 pins a day or 30 to 40 if you’re up to it.

All these points tie back into each other.

A good strategy, backed by great seo, even better content and the right volume done consistently will help you fix your traffic drop.
